After 13 years Burger King returned to Super Bowl with no one less than Andy Warhol!?
The ad, which aired during Super Bowl LIII and it was David’s first Super Bowl spot for Burger King, features a nearly silent film of the iconic pop artist Andy Warhol eating a Whopper. The spot used a 37 year old footage, which was shot by filmaker Jorgen Leth in 1982 for the film 66 Scenes from America.
Even though this could seem very easy to produce, besides securing rights for the original footage we had an entire campaign around the spot including teasers and Out of Homes, that was produce in 2 weeks.
